Biefer / Zgraggen and Christoph Draeger present their work in the Kunsthalle St. Gallen after returning from Berlin and New York. In ten lessons on the subject of art, such as vernissage, art theft, art history, early education or even geriatrics, Tiefer / Zgraggen present a learning program of a special kind in the Telekolleg Kunst: In cheeky and ironic dialogues, the two artists present cliché images from the environment of art and thus for discussion. Christoph Draeger has been focusing on the themes of catastrophe and violence for several years. In St.Gallen he shows two video installations: In the work Feel Lucky Punk??! various scenes of well-known action films are re-enacted. In another installation, large-scale projected New York emergency vehicles race by and the end of the world is announced. But in this apocalyptic theater, everything is pretense, recreation, and hyperbolic play. The irony produced due to the exaggeration develops a pleasant distance between image and viewer.

Christoph Dreager (*1965, Zurich/CH) is a multimedia artist. He lives and works in Vienna, New York and Umea/SWE.

Marcel Biefer (*1959, Winterthur/CH) and Beat Zgraggen (*1958, Zurich/CH) worked together as an artist duo from 1983 to 1999.
