Matti Braun presents the three mirror installations Bali, Edu and Ghor at Kunsthalle St.Gallen. For many years, Matti Braun has been interested in biographies that develop in a historical and cultural transfer between different continents and the associated transformation processes. In all three researches, Matti Braun develops a kind of mental matrix from a multitude of private mythological anecdotes, forgotten information and biographical and historical facts, a draft of potential perspectives on the possibilities and impossibilities of understanding cultural-historical and personal stations in a continuum. Matti Braun's works are always based on different approaches to content, which enable him to use and mutually expand different forms of reception and presentation.
