The current phenomenon of joint productions by two artists is the starting point for this exhibition. The exhibition idea for «Züri ABC» resulted from intensive research on the topic of artist couples. ALMA, Biefer / Zgraggen and the anonymously working artist couple CM 91 offer an insight into their work in St.Gallen.
ALMA is an artist collective with Alf Hofstetter (*1956, Glarus/CH) and Max Markus Frei (*1958, Lucerne/CH). The two artists have been working together since 1987.
Marcel Biefer (*1959, Winterthur/CH) and Beat Zgraggen (*1958, Zurich/CH) worked together as an artist duo from 1983 to 1999.
