Christine Schütz and Chantal Hoefs stage bizarre scenes in their videos that often take clichés as their starting point. The filmed ‘Tableaux vivants’ of the two are deliberately enigmatic, oriental fairytale worlds meet the airfield of an airport as a contemporary place of transit.
The two video and installation artists Christine Schütz (*1972, Zurich/CH) and Chantal Hoefs (*1974, Schaffhausen/CH) have been working together since 1998.
