The artists Olaf Rahlwes and Peter Zizka have been working together for over twelve years under the name of MEMORY. After designing six issues of our in-house newspaper fön last year, they are concluding this collaboration with an extensive solo exhibition. In the Kunsthalle St.Gallen they show for the first time their current photographic works, which reproduce in fragments and short moments a picture of our time. MEMORY present in their room-related works entertaining moments, objects of everyday life, situational constellations or even individual persons from a world as we know it and believe to recognize it. The photographic works are mirrors of our own memories and yet also assertions from the perception of a reality as MEMORY sees it.

MEMORY (Olaf Rahlwes and Peter Zizka) was a German conceptual art group that worked at the intersection of art and design from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s.
