Rirkrit Tiravanija

With the project by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Stefan Altenburger we are building a bridge to the local music and performance scene in St.Gallen and the surrounding area. In the replica of a New York rehearsal studio, in which the Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija often meets with friends for sessions, daily performances, spontaneous actions and concerts will take place for five weeks during the duration of the exhibition in the Kunsthalle. In the work Rehersal Studio No. 6, Rirkrit Tiravanija combines essential sculptural moments with his concern to create an event space for communication and dialogue.

Rirkrit Tiravanija (*1961, Buenos Aires/ARG) lives and works in Bangkok/THA, Berlin/DE and New York/US.
