For the installation in «Sidecar No. 1», the Zurich artist Stefan Altenburger collects used pieces of furniture from second-hand stores and films himself with a video camera while he distributes and stacks the furniture in the room in ever new and different ways for ninety minutes. Questioning an unambiguous or definitive artistic statement, such as a sculpture, is the central theme of this work.
